When Love Moves at Different Speeds

At times, on the path of love,
One heart races forward with hope.
Always ready, always present,
Yet unaware, a weight is felt.

Another heart moves gently and slow,
Responding softly to the rhythm.
Not rushing, not hurrying,
But feeling the pressure of expectations.

In every embrace and sweet word,
In every celebration and joy,
Unseen, on the other side,
A heart struggles to keep pace.

Love isn’t just about following,
It’s understanding each heart’s beat.
Not in speed or constant motion,
But in finding the rhythm between two souls.

So I stop, I listen,
Not forcing my own speed.
For love is not a race,
But a journey, together, by God’s grace.
